April 17, 2025(4 events) – ![]() Otero County Extension Service Space is limited and pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. Call: 575-437-0231 – The class is FREE and held online via Zoom. During this training, we will be candidly discussing suicide; reviewing suicide related data; and sharing some experiences. This is an emotional topic with personal history for many people. Please consider if you are ready to participate and if you feel comfortable and safe in addressing this topic. Assessing your comfort level may include revisiting and forgiving yourself for past experiences. At the end of the class, all attendees will participate as a group in a scenario in which we will ask out loud the difficult question “Are you thinking about suicide?” We are providing the adult QPR curriculum online. Because of the sensitivity of the topic, our group is NOT providing QPR online for youth participants. Because this class is being offered virtually, we as facilitators like to see and check in with each participant to establish that you are feeling alright throughout the training. Please plan to participate with video ON and have audio available. By registering for the training, you confirm that you feel ready to participate in a training about suicide, agree to share your contact information with facilitators, and agree to participate with your video on. CALL 988 if you need support or are in crisis (text or chat with 988 as well). We also encourage you to keep the following phone number handy for yourself and others: NM Crisis Access Line 855-662-7474, OR you can text 1-855-466-7100 (warmline/ text-line) or use NMConnect App for support. – ![]() Kimmie Jordan Mental Health Rehabilitation Services – Learn new skills during a FREE live 6-week workshop using your electronic device and an internet connection.
