This training focuses on providing education and awareness on the meaning of polysubstance use, the risks associated with polysubstance use, and being able to recognize the signs and symptoms of polysubstance use and overdose. The training provides a brief overview of harm reduction services and resources available, and what Presbyterian is doing to address these issues.

Defining Polysubstance use-
Be able to identify the risks associated with Polysubstance Use
Be able to identify signs of an Overdose.
Understand the impact of Polysubstance use in New Mexico.
Be able to define Harm Reduction

This training is scheduled for January 14th 1 – 2:30 PM.

CEUs for Community Health Workers (CHW), Promotoras, Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW), and Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) will be available for those who attend the entire session.

Currently, many New Mexico youth don’t have access to comprehensive sexual health education. A coalition of community partners are working to change that and we need your help to pass this important legislation!

Please join us to share your thoughts on why Comprehensive Sexual Health Education is important to your families, learn more about this legislation, and prepare for upcoming in person and virtual advocacy opportunities.

The Office of Family Assistance (OFA) will host a national webinar for state TANF programs and partners titled Building Strategic Partnerships and Maximizing TANF Flexibilities to Reduce Housing Instability on January 15th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM ET. The webinar will roll out OFA’s newly released Dear Colleague Letter on Housing Instability. It will provide an overview of current and relevant research for TANF programs, offer peer perspectives from two TANF programs investing in housing stability activities, increase knowledge about approaches for addressing housing instability for families, facilitate the introduction of new partnerships, and offer options for maximizing TANF flexibilities to reduce housing instability for families and children and achieve TANF purposes. We look forward to engaging on this important topic.
