You Have a Date with Julius
Meet Julius, who can analyze data in seconds and offers insights into turning data on family services and barriers into action.
It’s almost impossible to keep up with AI’s pace of change, but there are a few new tools worthy of your attention. We told Julius (https://julius.ai/), one of many artificial intelligence (AI) tools to look at the survey reports that we have from the 100% New Mexico County Surveys for multiple counties in which asked family members in each participating county if they need vital services such as medical care, mental health care, food security programs, housing security programs, and transportation to vital services, among other services. We learn from such data if families need a particular service and if those needing a service are facing challenges accessing the services. We also learn about the specific service barriers, and collect data on the survey respondent’s county, age, annual household income, gender, and race.
We asked Julius, “What can Julius do with this Information? We also asked Julius, “What are some questions we should ask if we want to inform action to address service barriers and create an action plan?”
JULIUS LIKES QUESTIONS.
Here is what Julius answered: With this rich dataset, Julius can help you identify trends, patterns, and relationships among variables to inform actionable insights and develop an effective action plan. Just ask.
So here are some questions you might ask Julius:
- What are the most pressing service needs identified by respondents, and how do these needs vary by demographic factors such as age, income, gender, and race?
- For those facing challenges accessing services, what are the most common barriers reported?
- Are there any relationships between service needs, access challenges, and barriers?
- How can the identified service barriers be addressed through policy changes, resource allocation, or program development?
- Can you suggest potential interventions or initiatives that would have the greatest impact on addressing service disparities and improving access for those in need?
What Julius does, among many talents, is help community people come up with questions and answers about their reports and data to find out why service barriers exist and how to fix them. Julius likes to answer all those questions. He’s that kind of AI.
JULIUS LIKES MATH TO INSPIRE ACTION.
By asking these questions about the 100% New Mexico County Survey (and all our reports and research briefs), you can leverage Julius’s capabilities to gain a deeper understanding of the survey data and develop a targeted action plan to address service barriers, improve access to essential services, and ultimately enhance the well-being of county residents. As we’ve mentioned before, the technology is improving every day, but occasionally there are minor errors such as incorrect book titles, author attributions, or research that doesn’t quite match what was requested. The old advice still applies: trust but verify.
You may have noticed by now in our series on AI tools, we don’t lack for new resources. What we need in abundance is the will to make change happen. There’s no time like the present to take action.
