Empowering New Mexico with 100% Power Hours
The 100% Power Hour webinar series focuses on the vital skills of strengthening family services through assessing, planning, action and evaluation.
The 100% New Mexico initiative, like many health initiatives across the state and country, seeks to prevent the costly challenges that diminish the lives of children, youth and, adults. Our mission is preventing adverse childhood experiences, family trauma and social adversity by supporting local stakeholders as they collaborate to ensure ten vital services for surviving and thriving for all communities within their county’s borders. After two years of disruptions to healthcare, education, social services, and jobs, the need to strengthen a countywide system of care and empowerment has never been greater. Our opportunity for innovation awaits us.
Join the 100% Power Hours with Dr. Katherine Ortega Courtney and Dominic Cappello, co-directors of the Anna, Age Eight Institute and co-authors of 100% Community and Anna, Age Eight. The 100% Power Hours guide all community stakeholders and 100% New Mexico participants through the initiative’s county-based collaborative process over four weekly webinars.

What we are doing with the 100% New Mexico initiative has never been done before in the United States. We are ending barriers to vital services to create a countywide seamless system of care, safety, and empowerment. We are building the capacity of each county and city to build the ten services that allow all residents to endure public health crises and economic disruptions. We are committed to a New Mexico where 100% of our children and families can thrive.
Mission: The 100% New Mexico initiative is dedicated to ensuring that 100% of families can access ten vital services crucial for their overall health, resilience, and success. This university-sponsored endeavor necessitates the local implementation of evidence-based strategies encompassing both community and school-based service hubs, aiming to prevent the most pressing and costly public health and safety challenges, including adverse social determinants of health and adverse childhood experiences.
